Hi, my name is Toni Carter.I am with the New American Funding Ladera
Heights branch, and I've been in the mortgage industry for about 18 years.
Being self motivated is huge, because there's a lot of times with this again, like I said,you can, you know you close a big transaction,you want to take a week off, two weeks off,but what happens is, and it's kind of a running comment we have here in the office, you have to continue to fill the wagon.
You have to constantly be out there prospecting and meeting clients to get them to a position where they're able to enter escrow.
Because you can't, no deal is guaranteed. You have to be able to constantly have new people to work with and help, whether it's a refinance or purchase transaction, so you have to be self-motivated to learn more to grow.
It's huge for us to educate clients on the options available. People throw out, "Hey, you have a first time homebuyer program," but for a client to actually
know what that entails is important, and I think with the New American Dream initiative, we'll have a bigger presence to be able to share things through our marketing, through partnerships with other organizations.
Maybe a little bit more than what, you know,5 or 6 of us have been doing here. I also believe that having the support of the company will just make it, again, be able to spread from our market here, you know whether it's, you know, from the city level to the county level to the state level and then nationally,since the company is, you know, nationwide.
